Today, we will be talking about drones and the different types. Drone: A remote-controlled pilotless aircraft or small flying device.
The first type of drone is a consumer drone. A consumer drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for the mass market, meaning, the public can get their hands on these drones for not a lot of money. DJI is the leader in this space, making nice, good quality drones for consumer and professionals. Some of their lineup includes: The DJI Mavic line, making the DJI Mavic 3, DJI Mavic 2, DJI Mavic Pro, and the DJI Mavic Platinum. They also make the Air line, Mini line, Spark line, and FPV line.
The next category is Commercial or Professional. Once again, DJI is the winner in this space. These drones are made for video production and other big services that need bigger drones. Their professional drones include, the Phantom line and Inspire line.
Another category of drones is FPV. FPV or First-Person view is a different type of drone flying. If you took a luxury car and ripped out the whole interior, left the drivers seat and put a big engine in the car, that's what FPV drones are like. Here is a picture of a FPV drone:
When using this drone, you have VR goggles on your face and you see exactly what the camera sees. These are used for racing, chasing, and anytime you have to follow something fast or if you want to do more aerobatics with your drone. DJI, once again makes a FPV drone and FPV systems to put on other FPV drones. They call their drone the DJI FPV Drone. Rotor Riot makes some pre-built FPV drones or you can buy a kit and build it yourself. FPV is for the people who are filming more sporty or fast action stuff.
